Half Price Day
Every 3th of the month, it's half price day. This means that all the items in the neopia shops are at half price! This does NOT include the hidden tower and owner's shops.

Snow Faerie Quests
It can sometimes be profitable to do her quests. If it is too expensive for you to do, just don't do it. If the item(s) are worth more than 4k, it usually isn't profitable. You wont be penalized, but you will have to wait until the time runs out to do another one. The prize you get is a random snowball, some NP and an item.
Kitchen Quests
Same as snow faerie quests, they can be worth it. And other times aren't... Just use your better judgement when doing one, but remember, the payout isn't always that profitable or great...The prize you get are either NP, an item, or a better stat for one of your pet.
Edna's Quest
You probably won't be doing those if it wasn't for the avatar...But they are rarely worth it...If she asks for item(s) more than 1.5k, i think it's too much. But that depends on how badly you want the avatar...
Brain Tree Quest
To finish this quest, you must complete 2 Esophagors quests. He asks for food, and will give you the date and place someone died in return. You need this info to complete the Brain tree quest. The food items the esophagor asks for, are sometimes very cheap, but mostly very expensive. The reward for the brain tree quest isn't worth much usually...
Scratchcards
You can only buy scratchcards from one kiosk at a time. The scratchcards at the ice caves can be bought every 6 hours, those at the haunted playground every 2 hours. Check the prize page!!
Map Pieces
To complete a map, you must collect all the 9 pieces of it. There are 5 different maps.
* The secret laboratory map: gives you access to the lab ray.
* The space map: gives you 5k and some space food. This map is retired right now.
* The spooky map: gives you 10k and some spooky food.
* The underwater map: gives you 10k and some aquatic food. This map is retired right now.
* The original map: gives you 10k and some rare items.
The prizes you get, are not really worth collecting the map pieces. It's best to sell the pieces if you should find them. Except for the lab map of course, if you want your pet to change species, color and get better stats, you should certainly collect these!
General
Go to ALL the daily Freebies DAILY! Fruit Machine, The Giant omelette in Tyrannia, the shrine, the snowager and Tombola! It's Free so you have NOTHING to lose!!
Spin the Wheel of Excitement as often as you can, you can get good prizes from it! The other wheels (monotony, mediocrity and misfortune) are mostly a waste of NP's.
Find games you're good at and play them 3 times daily! Try to find games where you get 100np per 100 points scored, like defernder trainer etc.
Get yourself a shop and buy items straight from the market (like chocolates, scratchcards, books, and petpets). It makes for very good profit when you get to know what items to look for...
Bank --- Collect Interest! This can add up over time! If you have 100,000 NP, then you can collect 9,000 NPs a year! Make sure you collect your interest before you deposit or withdraw! If you don't collect your interest, you will lose it for that day...
Healing Springs --- Have a sick pet? You can visit the healing springs once every 30 minutes to try to heal your pet. The water faerie will either feed you pets, give you a potion, heal your pet of disease, or restore some/all of your HPs. Sometimes she will both heal your pet, feed and restore Hps at the same time!
Lab Ray --- Have you collected all of the lab map pieces? If so, you can then visit the lab daily! The lab can both do your pet good & do your pet harm. Either way, it is fun to see what lab ray has in store for that day.
